Renowned actors After 11 years together and two years of marriage, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie separated in 2016, but they will always be the parents of their six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox. Maddox and Zahara were two of her children that Angelina adopted before her relationship with Brad; she later adopted them both as well. From 2006 to 2008, they welcomed four more children into their family.

Maddox, the eldest son of Brad and Angelina, was born on August 5, 2001 in Cambodia. When he was only 7 months old, in 2002, Angelina adopted him. Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina, who were still married at the time, released a joint statement on the adoption. Shortly after, the couple filed for divorce. Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt

Pax, Jolie-Pitt’s second-oldest child, was born in Vietnam on November 29, 2003. He was three years old when the couple adopted him in March 2007.

Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt

Zahara is the third oldest daughter of Jolie-Pitt; she was born in Ethiopia on January 8, 2005. Angelina adopted her first child in July 2005, followed by Pitt in 2006. According to CNN, Zahara’s middle name, Marley, is in honor of Bob Marley. She is currently enrolled at Spelman College, which Jolie considers “an honor” for one of her daughters to attend.

Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt

Shiloh (right), Angelina and Brad’s first biological child, was born on May 27, 2006. Shiloh was born in Namibia although she had lived in the US since she was a toddler.

Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt

Knox (right), the former couple’s youngest child, was born on July 12, 2008. He is Jolie-Pitt’s youngest child, along with his twin sister Vivienne. There are six Jolie-Pitt children who were raised in the United States but were originally born in Nice, France.

Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt

Brad and Angelina’s twin daughters, Vivienne (left) and Knox, were born on July 12, 2008. Although she was not old enough to remember, Vivienne and her mother were cast in “Maleficent” to play baby Aurora and little Aurora, respectively. All the other kids who auditioned for the role sobbed when they saw Angelina dressed as Maleficent, but Vivienne didn’t seem fazed by her mother’s appearance.
